Weekly Project Schedule: A gantt chart showing estimated time for each trade until build completion. Allow 6-8 months for turn-key build. Live Worksheet: We will share a live worksheet, where we can both communicate about details. Progress Photos: Live out of town? We will send you progress photos. We can also provide drone images. E-mail reply w/in 48hrs: We check our e-mail frequently, and respond promptly. Booked phonecall: Depending on your preference, we can book phonecalls once a week, or as required. Texting when required: texting is a great fast way to communicate, on top of e-mail.

"Working with John, Andrea and the rest of the team, made our first custom build as stress-free as possible. "When I needed to get some help renovating my cottage at Miller Lake, I went to Liverance Lumber and asked if they could recommend someone. Sandra Wilson suggested John Vanderkooy. When John was contacted and came to see the job, we came to terms and the work was started. I was impressed with his knowledge and his many skills were soon demonstrated. As with most renovations on older buildings, we found much more work behind the walls and where the walls met the foundation. John was able to assess what was needed and the necessary repairs were completed. The initial job was for 10 new windows, new door, a new patio door, new upper deck and complete new siding for the two-story cottage. Newly discovered work included replacing and bracing 3 of the 4 lower walls at the cement pad foundation. I found John to be a very competent worker who knew his trade and worked very hard, giving me a full hour's work for each hour paid. I was completely satisfied with all of his work and would have no problem at all recommending him for anything from a small repair to a complete house/ cottage build." "We entrusted the services of JV Construction Inc. to build our dream waterfront cottage in Lion's Head. The expectation and standard we had for our project was high and they certainly delivered. The attention to detail and quality of work they completed was incredible -their employees and sub-trades were very accomodating, everyone listened to our suggestions and concerns, all of our questions were answered, they even accomodated some of the sub-trades we had hired to complete parts of our build also. With a build of this scale, it doesn't come without some challenges and there were definitely a few with our project, which were all dealt with swiftly and professionally. "JV Construction (John / Andrea) completed a build for us in 2024 in Dyers Bay. We have now lived in the house for a few months and wanted to offer our sincerest thanks for building our family lake front retreat. The process from design to build was transparent and smooth in a structured process with strong communication throughout. Not being able to be at the house during the week, John did a great job being available to answer questions and discuss anything that needed adjustment and / or offer suggestions from his years of experience. For the built itself, John and his crew take great pride in their work, are meticulous in their attention to detail and know their stuff! We were working with a corrugated metal exterior on the home which is more challenging than a traditional exterior. John was able to take on this challenge and the excellent workmanship shows not only on the exterior but throughout the home. The trades subcontracted were also quality groups that completed their work on time at/with the same attention to detail as the JV Construction crew. We are very thankful to have had John and Andrea complete this project for us; they are capable professionals that communicated well and demonstrated integrity through the entire process.
